Pure beauty of Japanese nature – Mt. Yotei

Mount Yotei also called Ezo Fuji is one of the most beautiful views you can enjoy in Hokkaido.
Located in the Shikotsu-Toya National park this gorgeous mountain is conveniently accessed from Niseko area.
As this almost 1900m high mountain is a volcano, adventure seekers can use one of 4 available trails to climb it in Summer and in Winter you can dare to try crater skiing and snowboarding. If weather forecast shows a sunny day in winter don’t get disappointed! It just means you’re lucky because a sunny day is a rare chance to enjoy the unbelievable view on Yotei-zan, as it snows non-stop most of the winter in Niseko.
Mt. Yotei is home to a lot of beautiful plants and such wild animals as red fox, momonga, chipmunk and Hokkaido brown bear.
Among the things you can do around mount Yotei are:
– View Shibazakura (Pink Moss Phlox) at Mishima’s Garden in Kutchan
– Enjoy Yotei-zan at sunset called Red Fuji available from Makkari Village
– Rest in Fukidashi Park watching spring water from Mt. Yotei
