Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto the gate to Hokkaido!
Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto JR train station was newly opened on March 26, 2016 celebrating the launch of Tokyo – Hokkaido bullet train service!
From now on you can get from Tokyo to Hakodate in just 4 hours!
“But the flight from Tokyo will only take an hour-and-a-half!” you might say.
That’s true. But don’t forget about getting to/from the airport, checking-in, security check, boarding & disembarking procedures which take an hour before and half-an-hour after the flight which itself might easily get delayed. And that makes it a minimum of 4 hours trip.
So here are the reasons to travel by Shinkansen (bullet train):
Train is a convenient, safe and stress-less way to travel.
No need to pass security-check, care about your luggage weight and items in your carry-on baggage.
You’re free to change seats and walk between the cars.
And the best thing about travelling by train – you get to enjoy the view! Enjoy picturesque Japanese landscapes, that differ from prefecture to prefecture! Go all way up from Tokyo through Sendai to Aomori and enjoy seasonal flowers, mountains, lakes, rivers, unique local architecture and more.
